Handcrafted Fish Stories Ceramic Aquarium Ornament - Blue

A handmade ceramic jar—often referred to as a word jar or pot due to its whimsical or descriptive inscriptions—is a piece of artisanal pottery typically crafted from salt-glazed stoneware. These jars are distinguished by their rustic, hand-stamped or engraved lettering, as well as by their cork stoppers. Pats Pots (Key West, Florida): This studio is renowned for creating such lidded ceramic jars featuring a variety of playful inscriptions—such as Baby's Inheritance, Shopping Money, and animal-themed variations. Dr. Jay Brophy: A former psychology professor whose vintage ceramic works frequently incorporated specific words or phrases. Executed in a handmade style closely resembling that of the aforementioned novelty jars, his pieces were designed either for kitchen food storage or simply to serve as eye-catching decorative objects.
