Ricoh 500 35mm Rangefinder Camera

Up for sale is a classic 1957 Ricoh 500 35mm film rangefinder camera with its original worn leather case. While it has a cosmetic flaw on the front window, this camera is a mechanically perfect powerhouse—making it the ultimate shooter's camera for vintage film enthusiasts! Unlike most 1950s cameras that suffer from sticky shutter gears, this camera has been mechanically tested and performs beautifully. Mechanical & Functional Highlights: * Perfect Shutter & Aperture: The Seikosha shutter fires crisply at all speeds. The aperture blades open and close smoothly with no oil residue. * Working Self-Timer: Rare for this era—the mechanical self-timer winds, counts down, and fires flawlessly. * Triggermatic Bottom Winder: The iconic rapid-advance bottom trigger folds out cleanly and winds smoothly. * Dual Focusing Wings: Smooth, responsive finger tabs with zero gritty friction. Cosmetic Condition Notes: * The Body: The metal housing is in very nice, clean cosmetic condition with a great vintage look. * The Front Window: There is a visible crack in the front viewfinder/meter window plastic cover. Additionally, the internal viewfinder square framing mask has come loose inside. Note: Because of this, the viewfinder image is currently misaligned/blurry, but it does not affect the physical lens or shutter mechanics. * The Case: Original vintage Ricoh leather case with heavy wear but still providing excellent protection. Sold as-is due to the viewfinder window. Fast shipping!
