Yashica Electro 35 G 35mm Rangefinder Film Camera Case Vintage 70s

This camera is a Yashica Electro 35 GSN, a legendary 35mm rangefinder film camera from the early 1970s. It is highly regarded for its stealth operation and exceptionally sharp 45mm f/1.7 Color-Yashinon DX lens. Key Features * Lens: Fixed 45mm f/1.7 lens (6 elements in 4 groups), excellent for low-light and shallow depth-of-field photography. * Exposure: Fully automatic aperture-priority system. You select the aperture, and the camera's CdS meter automatically chooses a stepless shutter speed from 30 seconds to 1/500th. * Viewfinder: A large, bright coupled rangefinder with automatic parallax compensation that adjusts frame lines as you focus. * Build: Robust metal construction, often referred to as the poor man's Leica due to its quality and affordability. Using the Camera Battery: Originally used an obsolete 5.6V mercury battery. You can now use a modern 6V PX28 alkaline battery (or four LR44s) with a simple 40c adapter. * Focusing: Look through the viewfinder and turn the lens focus ring until the two images in the center overlap into one clear image. * Exposure Warning Lights: Press the shutter halfway. A red light (arrow pointing right) means overexposure (stop down the aperture); a yellow light (arrow pointing left) warns of a slow shutter speed below 1/30s (use a tripod). Film Loading: Lift the rewind knob to pop open the back, insert 35mm film, and advance until the counter reaches 1 Untested Sold as is With case
