These stunning Mary Jane heels from legendary St. Louis shoemaker, Johansen. These are from 40s/50s era known for their renowned Vitality line, a collection celebrated for mid-century post-war American craftsmanship and fashion. Featuring a vibrant shiny multi-colored woven tapestry upper accented by metallic bronze leather trim and original gold-tone buckled ankle strap. History: These were crafted in an era when precision width was a hallmark of quality. Ideal for collectors of narrow vintage footwear.  Shoes and box are in excellent condition consistent with true mid-century age with signs of normal use. Left shoe has small hole in toe box and scuff on heels (see photo).
