Make the distance so it is successful for your little. Or just let them walk over and place it around the pumpkin according to their skill level.  You can also tip toe, jump with 2 feet over as well. Change it up!   Hopscotch to the pumpkin using the rings to hop on top or between the hoops  Carry the pumpkin back and forth between the hoops placed back and forth or in a pattern.
