Offering a vintage, silk brocade wall hanging from China in the vertical scroll style with a flower & bird motif. It measures 12” X 44” approx & offers subtle earth-tones that will complement most interiors & easily become the perfect focal piece for anywhere in your home! The lettering at the top of the tapestry translates to “Chickens & Birds.” It refers to the pheasant, which is native to China. The inscription and seals on the left attributes the artwork to (or style of) Shen Quan, a highly influential Chinese court painter of the Qing dynasty (1682-1762). The lettering at the bottom translates to “Hangzhou Brocade Factory China,” the company credited for the reproduction of this item. This tapestry is in good vintage condition with minimal loose threading along the border that can be covered when matted &/or framed. This item may have been part of a four-panel wall display.
