Antique Edwardian Gold and Diamond Bar Pin, Old European Cut, Knife Edge brooch

Elegant antique Edwardian bar pin in 14K yellow gold set with a solitaire Old European Cut diamond. The refined knife edge design gives this piece a clean, architectural look that still feels remarkably modern over 100 years later. Minimalist yet richly detailed, it layers beautifully into both classic and contemporary styling.  This antique estate piece features an approximate 0.12–0.15 ct Old European Cut diamond with beautiful hand-cut sparkle that catches the light with movement. The warm gold tone and delicate floral-style setting create a subtle contrast against the linear simplicity of the bar.  Originally worn as a bar brooch, these versatile antique pins are now styled in many ways — on lapels, collars, knitwear, scarves, ties, hats, or as part of a jewelry layering look. Likely dating to the Edwardian era based on construction, diamond cut, and clasp style, though similar examples were produced from approximately the 1890s into the 1920s. The pin features a lever safety hinge typical of early 1900s jewelry. Marked “14K” on the clasp.  This piece was evaluated by a jeweler working for the estate.  Size: 2.2” long x 0.25” wide (from edge of diamond to end of secondary pin) x 0.35” tall (from top of diamond to edge of clasp).  Condition: Excellent antique condition.
