3 Flour Sack 1930's Cotton Tea Towels Sunbonnet Sue Embroidery & Appliqued 32"sq

Lot of 3 Depression Era Vintage Kitchen Flour Sack Tea Towels with the old quilt block pattern Sunbonnet Sue girls in vintage Cotton Print Appliques w/ Hand-Embroidered Details  Genuine near antique Depression Era fabric applique & pretty embroidery work on opened natural cotton muslin flour sacks. Approximately 32sq.  Colors:  Natural colored muslin cotton towel with appliques assembled for color palettes in light orange/gold/blue, peach/blue, purple/lavender.  Additional multi-color accents are featured in the hand-embroidered details.  Description:  Natural cotton muslin flour sacks trimmed to 32 square.  The appliques were created from Depression Era cotton solids & prints and assembled to color compliment.  Extra detail in the way of little embroidered flowers and ribbon streamers to sweeten the bonnet were added.  A nice extra touch is that a stop-fray line of stitching that was sewn around the perimeter in matched thread and the edges pulled to make a slight fringe.   Condition:  Excellent condition without any holes, tears, or food stains.  The integrity remains quite good & they do not appear to have really been used.  Some age-related light yellowing overall, and I noted some light dust lines on a couple where some of the folded edges were exposed.   No funky household or smoke odors, but after many years of storage a gentle overnight Biz soak should freshen them right up.  These would make a wonderful gift for the kitchen of someone that enjoys vintage linens!
