Beautiful handwoven basket with a blend of pink, brown, and tan colors crafted by women artisans in Rwanda using natural, hand-dyed sisal fibers wrapped around locally grown sweetgrass. The creation of a single basket can take several days to a week to complete. The vibrant colors and intricate spiral patterns are characteristic of traditional African basket weaving techniques. These baskets are used as decorative home decor, such as fruit bowls or wall art (a loop on the back for hanging). Measures approx 8-1/2 diameter. Excellent condition.
