Vintage Hand-Painted Floral Porcelain Hair Receiver or TrinketBox

This is a beautiful and hard-to-find vintage or antique hand-painted porcelain hair receiver. Popular from the Victorian era through the mid-20th century, hair receivers were small, decorative containers kept on a dressing table to store hair collected from brushes and combs. This collected hair was often used for various purposes, such as making rats to add volume to hairstyles, stuffing pincushions, or creating hair art.  This particular piece features a charming, hand-painted floral design with pink and yellow flowers and elegant gold gilt accents. The lid has a central opening to serve its original purpose as a hair receiver, but the box can also be repurposed as a unique trinket or jewelry box.  Dimensions: Approximately 3.5 x 3.5 x 2.5  Condition: This item is in very good vintage condition. There is some minor loss to the gold trim on the opening and two tiny nicks on one side of the lid's edge, as shown in the close-up photos. These small imperfections are consistent with its age and history and do not detract from its overall charm.
