Gilding: The top rim of the cup is intentionally plain white porcelain; the gold is applied as a filigree band just below the rim.  Wear: There is visible rubbing/thinning to the gold on the top of the handle and a small amount of wear on the gold filigree at the outermost edges of the saucer.
