Hofbauer Byrdes West Germany Lead Crystal Footed Bowl Bird Motif Vtg Collectible

Three ball feet, scalloped rim, starburst base. This is the Byrdes Collection bowl by Hofbauer, one of West Germany's most collectible lead crystal lines. Produced from the 1970s through the late 1980s, Hofbauer's Byrdes Collection is known for its intricate bird and botanical motifs, hand-cut fan and diamond detailing, and substantial 24% lead crystal construction. The company ceased production around 1990, making these pieces true vintage finds. Birds perched on branches wrap the exterior, paired with fan cuts, diamond crosshatching, and a starburst base that throws light in every direction. The scalloped rim adds an elegant finishing touch that photographs beautifully and displays even better. No chips, no cracks. Minor surface wear consistent with careful vintage use — this piece has been well-loved and well-kept. The crystal retains full clarity and sparkle. Substantial heft in hand, as you'd expect from quality lead crystal. 7 across, 4 tall (18cm x 10cm). Care note: hand wash only in warm water with mild soap. Lead crystal should never go in the dishwasher. Stunning displayed on a mantle, a bar cart, or a curio cabinet, and equally beautiful as a centerpiece on a holiday table. Use it as a candy dish, a fruit bowl, or simply let it catch the light. Will be packed with significant bubble wrap and care. Fragile items always ship with extra protection from The Storied House Co. Every piece has a past. Find yours. — Sarah / The Storied House Co.
