POSTCARD Lexington Kentucky Congress Inn Motel Restaurant Cocktail Lounge c1960s

Vintage linen-era postcard showing the Congress Inn Motel and Restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky. The front view displays the distinctive mid-century red roadside sign reading Restaurant Cocktail Lounge, a classic feature of 1950s–60s American motor inns. Several period automobiles are visible in the parking area, including a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Sedan and what appears to be a 1959 Chevrolet Biscayne or Bel Air, providing a clear indication of the early 1960s timeframe. The card's interior dining room views show tables elegantly set with white linens and candles, reflecting the upscale motel restaurant style of the period. Handwritten note on the reverse, dated October 30, 1961, reads Stayed here with Mom & Dad. Hub City Recon Vintage & Antique Postcards Bringing history back to life, one card at a time.
