1970s Athena Marble Putti Pedestal Soap Dish – Hollywood Regency

1970s Athena Marble pedestal soap dish with sculpted putti, clamshell bowl, and green marbling—luxury Hollywood Regency bath decor. This is a 1970s Athena Marble pedestal soap dish, designed in a Hollywood Regency / Neoclassical Revival style. Two smiling putti figures support a tall, fluted clamshell-form bowl, surrounded by cascading grape leaves and grape clusters that evoke classical European fountains and garden sculpture. The piece is made from Athena Marble’s cast marble / stone composite, a high-quality poured material developed to replicate the weight, feel, and visual depth of real marble. It is notably heavy and substantial, with crisp sculptural detail and visible mold seams consistent with cast architectural decor from this period. A soft green marbling effect is swirled throughout the base and subtly across the shell, adding visual movement and an intentionally aged, stone-like appearance. The underside retains a partially intact original label, reading “Athena Marble,” along with care instructions advising treatment similar to marble and avoidance of abrasive cleaners. Size • Height: 7 inches • Shell bowl: 4 inches deep x 4.75 inches wide Condition Good vintage condition. • Heavy cast marble / stone composite • Minor surface spotting and age-related wear • No cracks or structural damage • Original label partially worn but legible Displays beautifully and feels luxe in hand.
