Description
ANTIQUE UNFINISHED QUILT measuring 74 x 81. It is so unique in having bits of Depression era newspaper sewed into the underside, apparently this was added to keep recipient warm! Some of the scraps have the word WAR and another MARINE. There is also a couple of swatches of soldier material (see pics) indicating a possible stitching during beginning of WW1. The vibrant colors of this multicolor quilt features intricate hand stitching, obvious on the underside. Some of the edges are very uneven.
