Japanese Maekake Apron Kanji Shop Logo Indigo NWT

New with tag traditional Japanese maekake waist apron in deep indigo 100% cotton canvas with red/white woven waist ties.  This style features bold white Japanese kanji and vintage-style merchant/shop logo graphics on the front, giving it a classic Japanese storefront, market, and workwear feel. The design has a simple, graphic look that works beautifully for cooking, display, or collecting Japanese textiles.  Personally brought back from Japan when I had my sushi restaurant and had a few extras. Authentic Japanese apron, not a mass-market costume piece.  Maekake aprons are traditional Japanese waist aprons worn by shopkeepers, chefs, brewers, craftspeople, gardeners, and makers. The thick woven cotton helps protect clothing while cooking, working, crafting, gardening, pottery, BBQ, or carrying items. Ties around the waist/hips and can be wrapped snugly for light lower-back support.  Also beautiful as Japanese textile wall decor when not in use.  Approx. 26” long x 18.5” wide; straps approx. 102”.
