Vintage Wicker Sewing Basket - 1940s 40s War Era

If you have seen these before you would know that they were made in Germany after World War 2. This has definitely seen better days but it has been in my family since then. The craftsmanship is really quite something. It is small (7x7x 4) very lightweight, The inside very ornate would satin quilting and padding which was made to be pin cushions! It was more colorful in its day but now the outside is very faded but the inside is not even though it shows damage and staining. I have had it for decades and I don't know how anything wet got on it but it looks like something got wet. It is being sold as is and would make a very interesting accent for a shelf or a bookcase. Or you could use it as a sewing basket... Offers always welcome
