NEW Accompany Jute Welcome Mat

Welcome your much-missed family and friends and elevate your doorstep with this handwoven mat, perfect for indoor or outdoor covered use. This mat was crafted with care in Banskho, Rajasthan, using 100% natural jute fibers sourced in Calcutta, and embroidered with black nylon lettering in Jaipur. Accompany, the brand behind this collaboration, works to preserve traditional crafts and fairly support small villages and indigenous communities by bringing work to local artisans. Their goal is to do business in ways that are not just conscious, but also constructive — reshaping our global economy to support equality, protect cultures, and improve quality of life for communities around the world. If industry can perpetuate cycles of oppression, it can also break them. This Jute Welcome Mat project sustainably employed 227 artisans at the Craft Boat Artisan Collective in Jaipur, India, a cooperative with a focus on gender equity and women’s empowerment, providing consistent employment through India’s second wave of COVID-19. The artisans involved express their gratitude for this project and hope that the work of their hands brings you joy every time this mat is used.
