NEW Tibetan Prayer Flags~Patio Or Indoor Decoration

NEW Tibetan Prayer Flags~Patio Or Indoor Decoration A Long String Of 20 Flags (Approx 11” X 9.5”). Tibetan Prayer flags are very important to and very much a part of the Tibetan culture. Tibetans put them on high mountain peaks, so that the flags bless the surroundings. These flags often have holy mantras on them and it is believed that whenever the wind blows these mantras travel through air. Legend says that their origination can be traced back to Gautama Buddha (India). His prayers were written on war flags. Tibetans heard about these flags for more than two centuries but it was only after 1040 CE, that prayer flags came to be used as they are used now in Tibet.. They are also used to foster peace, strength, compassion and wisdom, and are strung and hung with great intentions of peace, love and protection. You will always see these flags at the various base camps on the climb to Mt. Everest. I often order a special incense from the Tibetan school of medicine made by the monks, and I always get a few strings of prayer flags for my patio every year. The wear and tear on the flags by the weather contributes to their charm. NEW Tibetan Himalayan Prayer Flags Monks Tibet Everest Trek Base Camp Flags
