HISTORY ON THE PIECE The original retail price of the Jean Paul Gaultier x Kashiyama Acid print tote bag, which was reissued in September 2019 for the Expanding Fashion exhibition in Tokyo.  Context: The bags were part of a limited-edition reissue of 16 archival pieces from the 1980s and 1990s, sold exclusively at Kashiyama Daikanyama alongside reissued clothing.  The bags were sold in very limited quantities as special souvenirs for the exhibition, which often implies a high, premium price point.
