This is a Shinzennmaku (sacred curtain), traditionally used in Japanese rituals and for decorating Shinto altars.
This is a highly elegant item, dyed a deep purple using the Kyozome dyeing technique, with the sacred Mitsudomoe (three comma) crest appearing in white.
It is a vintage item that evokes a Showa retro atmosphere, possessing a sense of weight and unique texture not found in modern mass-produced items. While the outer bag shows signs of age-related damage, the curtain itself still has its original label attached, indicating it has been carefully stored.
