■ Vintage Shaman Bell from Jeju Island, Korea

? 27,600 Yen → 25,800 Yen

A precious ritual object actually used in Jeju Island, Korea, known for its shamanistic culture.

This is a vintage shaman bell made of brass, with a substantial weight and a beautiful, high-pitched ringing sound.

As a ritual object used to guide people into a trance state through prayer, its sound is higher and stronger than that of Japanese shaman bells, with a much more resonant echo.

※

Please note the size specifications below. While a single Japanese Miko Kagura bell is typically over 3 cm in diameter, these bells are 1.8 cm. The smaller size of the individual bells contributes to their higher pitch, and the larger number of bells results in a stronger sound.

If Japanese bells have a kororin (round, mellow) sound, these Korean bells have a rinrin or kiririn (clear, ringing) sound.

※

Originally, the metal parts and bells were tarnished with dirt, and the decorative fabric also showed signs of age. However, thorough cleaning has restored them to their current beautiful condition.

Jeju Island's shamanistic culture is now rarely seen, and these bells are no longer produced.

Bells with fabric decorations are particularly rare.

Please consider this opportunity.
