Immediately after collection, specimens were preserved in alcohol, internal organs removed, and the body interior colored lemon yellow.
After removing internal organs, cotton, tissue, and toothpicks were inserted for reinforcement.
Both the Mukai-yanma and Mukai-tonbo are rare dragonflies that can only be found by going deep into the mountains.
They are my favorite dragonflies with an ancient atmosphere.
As these are naturally collected specimens, there may be some minor scuffs or scratches. Please check the photos.
After drying, specimens were frozen for over 2 days for insect repellent purposes, then placed in a plastic case with a desiccant and sealed with tape to prevent insects from entering.
Please remove the tape when taking out the dragonflies.
These will be shipped as fragile items via Mercari delivery. However, we are not responsible for any damage during transport. Thank you for your understanding.
