A shrine known as the only guardian deity of Happoyo (protection against all directions/misfortune) in the country, said to remove all evil deeds and disasters, invite good fortune and luck, and bring endless blessings to life.
Samukawa Shrine, known as the Ichinomiya of Sagami Province, is a shrine with approximately 1,600 years of history as the only guardian deity of Happoyo in the country. Historically, it was revered by the imperial court, Minamoto no Yoritomo, Takeda Shingen, and successive Tokugawa shoguns. Currently, worshippers gather from all over the country to receive the endless divine blessings of Happoyo.
