Toyokawa Inari (Toyokawa Inari) is a Sōtō Zen temple located in Toyokawa Town, Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture. Its official name is Toyokawakaku Myōgonji, and its mountain name is Enpukuzan.

Nationwide, due to the name Inari, it is often mistakenly thought to be a Shinto shrine. However, with the establishment of the Meiji government and the issuance of the policy to separate Shinto and Buddhism, many temples and shrines were abolished. At Fushimi Inari, the worship of Dakiniten ceased. Among these, Toyokawa Inari is one of the few temples that was able to avoid the separation of Shinto and Buddhism, and it is known as a special place that retains a strong fusion of Buddhist and Shinto beliefs.

Inari refers to Toyokawa Dakini Shinten, who is enshrined as a guardian deity. Generally, when people hear Inari, they imagine a shrine dedicated to foxes. However, at Toyokawa Inari, Toyokawa Dakini Shinten is depicted carrying ears of rice and riding a white fox, which is why Toyokawa Inari became the common name and has continued to this day.

Toyokawa Inari considers Fushimi Inari Taisha in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, which is the head shrine of Inari shrines throughout Japan, and Yūtoku Inari Shrine in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, to be the Three Great Inari Shrines of Japan.
