This is the 2026 (3rd edition) Lotus Goshuincho (Large Size) exclusively sold within the grounds of Saidai-ji Temple in Nara.
A temple of the Saigoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage.
The cover is made of Shirayuki Karakana brocade fabric with elegant, fine glitter.
When you open the front and back, the beautiful lotus flowers form a single picture.
This is the latest edition (3rd) in Saidai-ji's lotus goshuincho series, released on May 1st, ahead of the Nara Nishinokyo Lotus Road which begins in early summer.
■ Received on May 19, 2026, an auspicious day when Ten'ichi Tenjo and the Day of the Snake (Mi no Hi) coincided.
There is a legend that on the Day of the Snake, snakes deliver wishes to Benzaiten.
