Toyokawa Inari (Toyokawa Inari) is a Sōtō Zen temple located in Toyokawa Town, Toyokawa City, Aichi Prefecture. Its official name is Toyokawa-kaku Myōgon-ji, and its mountain name is Enpuku-zan.

Nationwide, it is often mistakenly believed to be a shrine due to its name Inari. However, when the Shinto-Buddhist separation policy was enacted with the establishment of the Meiji government, many temples and shrines were abolished. At Fushimi Inari, the worship of Dakiniten ceased. Among these, Toyokawa Inari is one of the few temples that was able to avoid the Shinto-Buddhist separation and is known as a special place that retains a strong fusion of Buddhism and Shinto beliefs.

Inari refers to Toyokawa Dakini-ten, who is enshrined as a guardian deity. Generally, when people hear Inari, they imagine a shrine dedicated to foxes. However, at Toyokawa Inari, Toyokawa Dakini-shin is enshrined carrying ears of rice and riding a white fox, which is why Toyokawa Inari became the common name and has continued to this day.

Toyokawa Inari is said to consider Fushimi Inari Taisha in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, which is the head shrine of Shinto Inari shrines throughout Japan, and Yūtoku Inari Shrine in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, as the Three Great Inari Shrines of Japan.
