[Woven Pattern]
This piece combines multiple obi fabrics woven in Kiryu, elevating the worldview of each design into a single work.

A tiger motif woven in black, gray, and azuki bean color with white. The tiger, revered since ancient times as the king of beasts, has been cherished in Japanese textile art as a symbol of martial power and spiritual energy. Its dynamic posture and sharp gaze are transformed into a靜 (stillness) beauty through the weaving technique, accented with gold thread.

Responding to this is the auspicious cloud pattern. Clouds are auspicious designs that connect heaven and earth, and are mystical beings symbolizing sacred spaces that accompany divine beasts such as dragons and phoenixes. The tiger and auspicious clouds sharing the space imbue the entire work with a powerful energy that penetrates heaven and earth.

The gray lattice pattern serves as a framework that tightens the overall color scheme. The calmness of the straight lines brings a serene balance to the dynamic energy of the tiger and clouds, embodying a refined aesthetic.

The silk fabric with peony arabesque and phoenix patterns for the lining further elevates the piece. The peony, known as the king of a hundred flowers, has been a symbol of nobility and wealth since ancient times, while arabesque, with its unbroken vines, signifies eternity and prosperity. The combination of peony and arabesque is a highly elegant and auspicious pattern. The phoenix is a mythical bird said to appear only in times of peace and prosperity, and is also called the king of a hundred birds.

Please enjoy the profound world of traditional patterns combined in this way through this piece.
