The position and appearance of the woven pattern may differ slightly from the photos.

[Woven Pattern]
Front
The base color is beige, with white and black cats freely playing among flowers. Cats have been revered as auspicious spiritual animals since ancient times, and in Japan, they are symbols of good fortune, warding off evil, and abundance. They have been incorporated into many ukiyo-e prints, craft designs, and textile patterns. In this work, their charming presence is captured as part of a cat pattern and a Japanese auspicious design.

The surrounding Yukiwa (snow ring) pattern is a unique Japanese auspicious pattern used in clothing and textiles since the Heian period. By circularizing snow crystals, it symbolizes harmony, good relationships, and balance. Furthermore, by layering floral patterns, it expresses the cycle of the seasons and the prosperity of life, creating a composition that embodies both festivity and seasonality.

Back
In contrast to the playful and festive nature of the cat pattern on the front, cherry blossoms are placed on the back to represent their ephemeral beauty and tranquility, allowing for a coexistence of dynamic and static aesthetics within a single book. This Goshuincho is designed not only for its vibrancy but also to cherish the emotional depth rooted in Japanese culture. The intermediate color scheme creates a serene atmosphere, making it a beautiful book.
