Japanese Yew Shoehorn
Made from birch wood so hard it could break an axe.
This is an Onoorekanba (axe-breaking birch) shoehorn. It is very sturdy.
The actual color is a bit lighter.
Purchased at a craft fair in a department store. It is a work of art.
It glides smoothly, and the curve that fits against the heel is exquisite, making it very easy to use. There are minor scratches on the handle.
