Babouches made from genuine leather, crafted at a tannery (leather tanning workshop) in Fez, Morocco, a renowned center for leather goods.
These babouches were purchased during a trip to Morocco a few years ago when I stopped by Fez.
Color: Turquoise Blue
Size: 37 (23-23.5cm), Heel height approx. 2cm
After returning to Japan, they were displayed in a dark place without being used.
I recall the material being sheepskin, and it is a very soft leather.
As the tips are pointed, they feel a bit small in terms of fit.
These were entirely handmade by skilled leather artisans, including the tanning and coloring of the leather.
There are initial color variations and slight imperfections (please check the images), but this is part of their handmade charm.
