This is a casual prayer bead (single-handed prayer beads) for men, made from Tagayasan (Tetsutoboku).
Material: Made from Tetsutoboku, one of the three great precious woods of Tang, named for its hardness like an iron sword.
Features: Characterized by a reddish-brown, glossy surface with unique striped wood grain.
Use: A common type of prayer beads used in Buddhist memorial services and funerals, suitable for all sects.
