Description

Shino ware is made from Momogusa clay, with a glaze primarily composed of feldspar, generously and thickly applied.
It is a representative pottery of the Azuchi-Momoyama period, fired under the supervision of tea masters such as Sen no Rikyu and Furuta Oribe, and has been favored by many tea ceremony practitioners and warlords since then. This piece is a reproduction of the Momoyama Shino style by Kikyoya Kiln.
