A floral patterned ceramic tokkuri (sake flask) purchased from an antique shop.
It was not used as a sake vessel but displayed as a single-flower vase.
The milky white base with blue floral patterns and the coloring on the lower part of the body in vermilion are striking, creating a presence that evokes a Japanese aesthetic.
Simply placing a single flower in it will enhance the space, and it can also be enjoyed as an objet d'art.
There is crazing on the bottom, but this is due to aging, characteristic of vintage ceramics, and is in a condition that can be enjoyed as part of its texture.
There is a 橘 (Tachibana - Mandarin orange) stamp on the bottom.
Washed and dried.
No other noticeable stains or cracks.
