Rice Straw Cat Igloo
Unused item, inner diameter at base: 30cm

This is the first cat igloo I made using rice straw.
It's sturdy because the rice straw is bundled in groups of 3-4 stalks.
Some of the straw tips stick out a bit.
As you can see in the photos, there is some distortion when viewed from the back.

I imitated the method of local elderly people to make this, so unlike commercially available products, the entrance is shaped like a kamaboko (fish cake).

The outer diameter of the base is 34cm, the inner diameter is 30cm, and the internal height is 14-15cm.

I made this for a rescued kitten who was small at the time, but by the time it was finished, the kitten had grown too big, so it was never used and remains an unused item.
There is a circular white mat on the floor.
