Made of porcelain.
- Uses a glaze with variations, known as kiln-change glaze (yōhen-yū).
Kiln-change (yōhen) refers to the phenomenon where the glaze undergoes unexpected changes in the kiln due to the properties of the glaze and how it is exposed to the flame, resulting in its unique finish.
By using a kiln-change glaze, the characteristic color variation and glaze flow are intentionally emphasized.
- Due to the use of a glaze with variations, there are individual differences in color and glaze flow. Over time, fine cracks (crazing) may appear, but there is no risk of breakage.
*Comes with a box. We will take care to pack and ship carefully with cushioning materials like bubble wrap.
Items are sold as-is. Please review the photos and make your own judgment and decision at your own risk.
