How about a Showa era apron for the Reiwa era?
This apron fastens with buttons, and the waist is adjustable with ribbons at the back. It has pockets on both sides.
This was handmade by the owner of a fabric wholesale store (my parents' business) for in-store promotions back in the day. It is unused, but due to long-term storage, there is slight yellowing on the cuffs from rubber deterioration. The elastic will be replaced with new elastic before shipping. (There is also faint yellowing on the pocket area, shown in the last photo.)
It was made with a relaxed fit, and was apparently very popular when it was sold.
You can slip it on easily and start cooking, even frying or stir-frying in the kitchen. It's great that it also protects your sleeves.
