This is a unique, handcrafted kataguchi (sake pouring vessel) that was a gift and has been stored at home.
It features a thick white glaze with delicate red and green accents, and a beautiful blue and white pattern on the inside.
Based on the style, it is likely a piece by a craftsman from Mino ware or Shibukusa ware from Hida Takayama, known for their rustic charm, but I have not been able to definitively identify the origin.
It can be used not only as a sake vessel for enjoying Japanese sake, but also as a dressing or sauce dispenser, or even as a vase.
The inside has beautiful potter's wheel marks (swirl marks) unique to handmade items, giving it a very elegant feel.
There is an artist's mark (signature) on the bottom, but I could not decipher it. Please check the photos.

This is an unused item that has never been used. It is in very clean condition with no chips, cracks, or noticeable stains. *The brownish area on the rim of the spout is not a chip or scratch, but a characteristic of handmade items where the glaze is thin, revealing the color of the underlying clay. You can use it with confidence.
