This is a charming sake server with a slightly retro and unique form.
It is said to have been used for serving *otoso* (medicinal sake drunk on New Year's) and at celebratory occasions.
It features a warm white base with a clean blue pattern.
The sake cups are not part of the set, but they have a similar pattern, so I thought they could be used together.
Sake server: Approximately 16cm to the tip of the spout, 14cm in height.
Sake cup: Approximately 2.5cm in diameter at the rim, 5cm in height.
There are black spots on the rim of the cup.
Purchased at an antique market.
This is a vintage item from the Showa era, kept in storage at home. We ask that buyers understand this before purchasing.
