Kobushi ware is pottery born in Hokkaido. It was founded in 1946 by Akiteru Yamaoka. Since then, it has been passed down through three generations, including the second generation, Kei, and the third generation, Chiaki, for 75 years, making it the oldest existing kiln in Hokkaido.
