A traditional wooden masu (square sake cup) with distinctive joinery at the corners. The bottom is inscribed with Showa 9 (1934). It is old and in poor condition, but has a lot of character. The joinery, which uses no adhesive, the wood stains created by the passage of time, and the inscription are all very interesting. How about using it as a model for a painting?
