This is a remake of a pre-owned children's *hifu* (a traditional Japanese sleeveless jacket worn over a kimono) into a formal outfit for cats, inspired by traditional Japanese attire.

I originally made this as a matching outfit for my beloved cat for Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival), but I wasn't satisfied with the collar finish. I felt it would be a waste to discard it...

*Please note: While not very noticeable in the photos, the collar has some imperfections (wrinkles, creasing). These are less apparent when worn by a cat.

*Since it was made by dismantling a *hifu*, the fabric has been pieced together.
