Description
This is a vintage lidded beer stein (Bierstein) made by the long-established West German manufacturer ALWE. The glass features a beautiful white etching of wild birds (ptarmigan/pheasant) and forest trees rendered in intricate detail. It has a traditional pewter lid that opens and closes with a lever operated by your thumb, and it is solidly constructed with a substantial feel. The ALWE brand stamp (or marking) is clearly visible.
As this is a vintage item, there are slight signs of age-related dullness (or minor scratches) on the metal parts, but we believe this is within an acceptable range to be enjoyed as part of its character. Please check the photos for details.
