Description

Tenjin-sama of the City of Forests, Tsutsujigaoka Tenmangu Shrine
[Lucky Cat Charm]
This charm has been prayed over so that you can open the luck in your life with a lucky cat that opens fortune.

In Kanbun 7 (1667), at the will of the third lord, Tsunamune Date, a vermilion-lacquered shrine building and Karamon gate were newly constructed, a calligraphy brushstroke by Sugawara no Michizane was enshrined, and the deity was relocated.
Furthermore, in Genroku 2 (1689), Matsuo Basho visited this shrine and left behind the following haiku in Oku no Hosomichi: Here, Tamada Yokono, Tsutsujigaoka, when the azaleas bloom. Here, I worship the shrine of Tenjin, and the day ends.
Even today, it is widely revered as Tenjin-sama of the City of Forests.
