Description
This was received by a relative who used to be a carpenter, from a worksite.
There is no maker's mark. It is believed to have been made by a local blacksmith.
The handle was attached by the former carpenter himself.
A Daigiri (large saw) is a large saw used to cut logs vertically into boards before the advent of machine tools like chainsaws.
It is quite heavy and large, giving it a powerful presence. It can also be used as an interior decoration.
