A small-sized café au lait bowl found at a cute antique shop in Amsterdam during a trip to the Netherlands. I loved its palm-sized cuteness and the sophisticated Art Deco motif. It's lovely for holding candy or serving sugar cubes. While café au lait bowls are primarily French, this ceramic piece has the backstamp of SOCIETE CERAMIQUE (the name of a famous ceramic manufacturer established in Maastricht, Netherlands in 1851).
The reddish-orange lines, which are rarely seen, and the ivory-colored surface with fine crazing are beautiful. There are thin line scratches from firing, which are barely noticeable, so please refer to the images. For those who like rare café au lait bowls. Approximately 9cm in diameter and 5.5cm in height.
