Direct from Farmer - Imperfect Grade B Suruga Amanatsu Oranges - 4kg - Pesticide-Free
13.86 $
Description
This product is from a farm in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka City.
We are offering 4kg of wake ari (imperfect) Suruga Amatsu oranges, harvested from our farm.
(Mixed sizes, approximately 10-13 pieces.)
These are the same oranges as Suruga Elegant commonly sold in supermarkets, but we are selling them as Suruga Amatsu due to adult circumstances.
These are B-grade products with sunspots, rough skin, or blemishes compared to regular products, and are offered at a lower price.
This summer orange is a hybrid of Amatsu and Buntan oranges, characterized by higher sugar content and a mellow aroma than typical Amatsu oranges.
While these oranges usually become available around March, we focus on tree-ripened perfection, harvesting and selling them at this time when the balance of sweetness and refreshing acidity is optimal for delicious consumption.
The orchard for these Suruga Amatsu oranges is located separately from our Unshu mikan (satsuma mandarin) orchard, and is cultivated without the use of pesticides.
They are safe to use even for marmalade, where the peel is utilized.
Please note that we use clean, reused citrus fruit cardboard boxes for shipping.
Our farm is a full-time agricultural operation that also sells products in the direct sales section of supermarkets, so please enjoy with peace of mind.
