Red Rice + Green Rice Set 500g x 2 Reiwa 7 Harvest Homegrown Slightly Imperfect

Set includes 500g of red rice and 500g of green rice, harvested in 2025.
*The green color of the green rice is not due to immaturity, but because the variety contains chlorophyll in its seed coat.

This is an ancient grain with strong vitality, retaining characteristics close to its original form.
Slowly dried by sun-drying. It features a natural sweetness and chewy texture.

We grow rice using home cultivation in the rich natural environment of Kanagawa Prefecture.
Grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, nourished with EM and rice bran compost.
After harvesting, the flavor was matured through sun-drying.
When mixed with a small amount of white rice and cooked, it adds a popping, chewy texture and flavor.

?? Red Rice
Red rice contains a tannin-based red pigment (a type of polyphenol) in its seed coat, which has antioxidant properties.
It is also rich in dietary fiber, B vitamins, calcium, and magnesium.

?? Green Rice
Green rice contains chlorophyll in its seed coat.
Compared to other colored rice varieties, it is not commonly found in circulation and is considered a rare variety.
It's a good way for those who dislike strongly colored mixed grain rice to incorporate the nutrients of mixed grains.

The price has been set lower as 訳あり品 (訳あり品 means reason for discount or imperfect item) considering the following. We would appreciate it if those who understand home-grown, pesticide-free products would consider purchasing.
?A small amount of other varieties such as green rice, red rice, and black rice are mixed in.
?Broken grains, chipped grains, and discolored grains are included. They are safe to eat, but please be aware if this is a concern for you.
?Foreign matter has been removed as much as possible, but husks may be included. These float in water, so you can scoop them out while washing the rice.
