Description
This is a wooden sign made from warm, natural cedar wood, carefully finished by hand one by one.
The size is 70cm tall, 21cm wide, and 2.3cm thick, with two cedar boards joined by hinges.
It is a freestanding stand-type sign.
It is inscribed with Open and Closed.
The Japanese-style brushstroke design creates a striking finish.
This is a popular version.
The boards were sanded, lightly scorched to bring out the wood grain, and colored with brown paint.
The surface was coated multiple times with urethane varnish.
The letters were written thickly with oil-based paint.
