Haru-sama La Mellow Bottomless Portafilter 51mm for De'Longhi, Wooden Handle

What is a Bottomless Portafilter?

A bottomless (spoutless) portafilter is an advanced tool that allows you to visually inspect the espresso extraction process in an exposed state. It enables real-time observation of crema quality and channeling (uneven extraction), making it ideal for fine-tuning grind size and tamping consistency. By visualizing the espresso extraction, it helps improve your skills.

What is a Filter Basket?

This is a cup-shaped component that attaches to the portafilter and holds the coffee grounds. The depth and shape of the basket affect the amount of coffee, extraction pressure, and flow rate, influencing the taste of the espresso and the thickness of the crema. This product includes 6 51mm filter baskets. You can compare different bean amounts and extraction conditions to create your optimal recipe.
